Mathew Anim Cudjoe Departs Dundee United After Declining Contract Extension

Ghanaian midfielder Mathew Anim Cudjoe has parted ways with Scottish club Dundee United after declining a contract extension offer, ending his two and a half year tenure with the club.

Dundee United officially bid farewell to Cudjoe, announcing that despite their efforts to retain him, the player had expressed his decision to move on.

“We can confirm Mathew Cudjoe has decided to end his Tannadice career.

The club made an offer reflecting our vision for Mathew in both financial and footballing terms; however, the Ghanaian has chosen to pursue his career elsewhere,” the club stated.

Cudjoe joined Dundee United in November 2021 and during his time at the club, he made a total of 46 appearances in the Tangerine jersey, scoring five goals.

Prior to his stint with Dundee United, Cudjoe began his professional career in Ghana with Asante Kotoko and Legon Cities, before making the move to Europe in pursuit of further opportunities.

The departure marks a new chapter for the promising young midfielder as he looks forward to his future endeavors in football.
