Ghanaian Afrobeats artist, King Promise, responded to criticisms regarding his friendship with his longtime companion and socialite, Efia Odo.

King Promise, discussing his connection with Efia Odo, mentioned that the socialite has been his companion for more than eight years and has consistently backed his career.
The artist known for the song ‘Terminator’ shared with Kwadwo Sheldon during an interview that Efia has been a dear friend since long before his fame, highlighting their strong connection.
King Promise emphasized that he will not sever ties with Efia Odo simply because some individuals disapprove of her personality or demeanor.
“I don’t know. I have asked some of my friends why they don’t like her, but they can’t give me a reason. Maybe it’s because they don’t appreciate her character, but for me, I appreciate her uniqueness.
“I’ve known Efia for about eight years, long before I gained fame and she has always been supportive of everything I do. So why should I abandon my friend just because you don’t like her? Does that make sense? It certainly doesn’t make sense,” King Promise stated in an interview with YouTuber, Kwadwo Sheldon.
King Promise’s statement follows criticism from fans and netizens on social media who have urged him to distance himself from Efia Odo.
