Court Orders Sale of Michael Essien’s East Legon and Trassaco Mansions, One Valued at $30 Million

The Accra High Court Commercial Division has issued a significant ruling mandating the sale of two opulent properties belonging to former Ghanaian football icon, Michael Essien.

Reported by Dailyguidenetwork.com, the court has ordered the sale of Essien’s mansions located at Stephen Quarshie Crescent, East Legon (House Number 9), and House Number 204/205 in Trassaco (Phase 2), Adjiringano, both prestigious areas in Accra.

An auctioneer, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed the court’s directive, which was executed by the Deputy Sheriff of the High Court. The auctioneer revealed that one of the properties has an estimated value ranging between $20 and $30 million.

The decision to auction Essien’s properties follows reports, including from Kickgh.com, indicating the former Chelsea football star’s financial challenges, which reportedly involve outstanding loans and other financial obligations.
