Former National Security Advisor Brigadier General (Rtd) Joseph Nunoo-Mensah has expressed disappointment with Ghana’s current state of development.

He expected the country to be much better by now. Nunoo-Mensah criticized both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the two main parties that have governed Ghana in the Fourth Republic, for failing the nation.
Speaking on TV3’s “Hot Issues” with Kemmini Amanor on Sunday, June 16, Nunoo-Mensah said he is unhappy with Ghana’s progress. He believes the country should be in a better position.

He mentioned that when Ghanaians vote for parliamentarians and the president, they are choosing them to govern for the people’s benefit, not for their own gain.
He stated, “I thought Ghana would be a better place than we are today.” He further commented on the state of politics in Ghana, saying, “It is just to make money.”
Brigadier General Joseph Nunoo-Mensah is a retired military officer and former National Security Advisor.
His long career has included various roles in both military and public service, making him a significant figure in Ghana’s history.
