The injury also caused him to miss the final weeks of the domestic season, including Real Madrid’s Champions League finals against German side Borussia Dortmund.

While France coach Didier Deschamps is hopeful about Tchouameni’s recovery, he confirmed that the midfielder will not play against Austria on June 17.
France has a lot of midfield options and despite the absence of Aurelien Tchouameni in the first game, they will have another player to cover up for him.
Aurelien Tchouameni has been participating in training sessions, indicating an imminent return to match fitness.
Kylian Mbappe, who recently joined Real Madrid, has overcome a back issue and is ready to captain the team in the tournament.
