The Super Falcons of Nigeria have maintained their top position as Africa’s leading women’s national football team, according to the latest FIFA Women’s World rankings released on June 14th.

Ranked 36th globally, the Super Falcons are positioned 15 places ahead of their closest African competitor, South Africa, who are ranked 51st in the world.

The rankings take into account more than 150 international matches played over the past three months, with current World Champions Spain holding the top spot.

This update reaffirms Nigeria’s Super Falcons as the best women’s football team in Africa, ahead of South Africa in second place (51st globally) and Morocco in third (56th globally).

The rankings reflect the team’s consistent performance and standing in international women’s football, highlighting their ongoing dominance in the continent.
