Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Kelly has signed a five-year contract with Newcastle, marking a 100% completed deal.
The acquisition of Lloyd Kelly is a strategic move for Newcastle, especially given the club’s potential financial constraints due to profit and sustainability regulations.

With the need to find bargain deals, Kelly’s free transfer is a significant coup for the Magpies.

Eddie Howe, Newcastle’s manager, has been actively seeking to bolster his defensive options, particularly due to the knee injuries currently sidelining Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles.
Lloyd Kelly, primarily a center-back, also has the versatility to provide cover on the left-hand side of the defense, making him a valuable addition to the squad.
Lloyd Kelly will provide defensive versatility as he is comfortable playing both centre back and left back.
