Emeka Ugwuonye alleges that Yul Edochie has ceased providing for his children. In a video that has circulated widely, Ugwuonye claims that Yul repeatedly encourages his children to seek financial support from their mother. The reason? Yul believes that May earns more than he does. This revelation has raised eyebrows and sparked heated discussions among Nigerians.

Ugwuonye takes issue with those who draw parallels between Yul and May’s marriage and that of Ned Nwoko and Regina Daniels. To understand the nuances, we must delve into the legal aspects of these unions.

Ned Nwoko, a wealthy businessman, chose to marry his wives under Customary law. This legal framework permits multiple marriages, allowing Nwoko to wed an unlimited number of partners. In contrast, Sharia law restricts Muslim men to four wives. Nwoko’s preference for Customary law reflects his desire for a larger family.

Ugwuonye accuses Judy (presumably May) of orchestrating a “campaign of calumny and smear” against her. Calumny refers to spreading false and damaging statements about someone, tarnishing their reputation. In this case, Ugwuonye suggests that May’s actions aim to diminish Yul’s standing in the eyes of others.

Ugwuonye minces no words. According to him, Yul Edochie is failing in his parental duties. He asserts that Yul neglects his children, refraining from supporting them financially. Shockingly, Yul allegedly told his daughter that May now earns more money than he does. This revelation raises questions about Yul’s commitment to his family.
