The President of the Ghana Football Association, President Kurt Okraku, has asserted that his administration has made substantial contributions and advancements in women’s football in Ghana.

Since assuming office in October 2019, Kurt Okraku has emphasized the importance of elevating women’s football, recognizing it as a crucial element of Ghana’s football landscape.
During his attendance at the Women’s Football Festival held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, Kurt Okraku shared in an interview his administration’s commitment to investing more in the women’s game.

Kurt said: “We decided to roll out quite a number of policies and strategies that will ultimately impact on the Women’s game. Over time we have done a lot. The game visibly is on the rise and I think that gradually the Ghanaian sporting populace are beginning to accept women’s football.”
The GFA President highlighted that despite the significant changes already made, the association is continuously looking to implement various policies to further advance women’s football in the country.
