Chelsea are lining up a move for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran after their hopes of securing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko this summer were dashed.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal were trying to acquire the service of the Slovenian striker, indicating their readiness to meet his £55 million release clause.
However, with the RB Leipzig’s eagerness to secure Sesko’s future ahead of Euro 2024 in Germany, he is understood to have agreed to a new contract this week with improved terms.

In response, Chelsea have reportedly renewed their interest in Villa’s Jhon Duran.
Jhon Duran arrived in Birmingham in January 2023 following a £14.75 million transfer from Chicago Fire but has since managed to score only eight times in 49 appearances for the club.
Jhon Duran is the second first team striker for Aston Villa as he is the alternative to Ollie Watkins.
According to The Times, Chelsea have intensified their pursuit of Jhon Duran , who is considered an attainable target this summer.
