Nigerian artist Korede Bello recently shared insights into his personal wellness journey, revealing key experiences that influenced his decisions and mindset.

During a recent appearance on the Say My Piece podcast, hosted by actress Lolo, Bello revealed his cautious approach towards potential addictions due to his personality. He mentioned his past experience with marijuana and his conscious decision to avoid it.

Bello stated that he had experimented with marijuana in the past, but it wasn’t for him. He explained that he was exposed to it at an early age, not as a child, but because it was common in his surroundings. He admitted to having an addictive personality, which could turn pleasurable experiences into addictions.
The singer stressed the importance of self-awareness and understanding one’s limitations to prevent falling into harmful habits. He advised that everyone should know themselves well, as some people can indulge in certain things and come out unscathed, while others might not be so lucky. He urged people not to blindly follow others.
Bello also shared his experience of witnessing his father’s detrimental smoking habit, which had a profound impact on him. He recalled how his father used to send him to buy cigarettes and would often cough.

When he asked his father about the coughing, his father attributed it to smoking and advised him not to smoke if he didn’t want to cough like him. This early exposure to the harmful effects of smoking instilled in him a desire to avoid such unhealthy habits.
Bello emphasized his commitment to a comprehensive approach to wellness, which includes physical, mental, and emotional health. He shared that growing up, he always strived to maintain a balance in these areas.
