Efua Sutherland Reveals She Designed Stonebwoy’s Stagecraft in Under a Week

Elizabeth Efua Sutherland, the Ghanaian creative director behind Stonebwoy’s stellar performance at the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) in 2024, has revealed that it took her less than a week to design the stagecraft.

The 25th TGMA, held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, June 1, 2024, saw several celebrity appearances and performances, but it was Stonebwoy’s performance that truly stole the show.

Efua Sutherland made this revelation during an interview with Ekow Koomson on The Chat, an entertainment show on ChannelOne TV.

Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, not only clinched the prestigious “Artiste of the Year” award and led the night with six awards but also captivated the audience with his live band performance.

Stonebwoy performed tracks including “Manodzi,” featuring multiple Grammy-award-winning songstress Angélique Kidjo, and an unreleased song, “Your Body.”

Stonebwoy’s world-class performance left a lasting impression on the massive audience, which included three million live viewers and fans around the globe.
