“Jordan Ayew Is Tactically Intelligent”- Otto Addo Says

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has lauded forward Jordan Ayew following his exceptional performance in Ghana’s 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Ayew’s hat-trick played a pivotal role in the win, highlighting his versatility and tactical intelligence.

In the thrilling encounter, Ayew opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the first half, then levelled the game with a fine header before securing his third goal to give Ghana a 4-2 lead in the second half. His outstanding display was a key factor in Ghana’s hard-fought victory.

Speaking in his post-game interview, Addo praised Ayew not only for his goal-scoring prowess but also for his overall contributions to the team’s performance. “He is a striker who can work defensively very well. Tactically, he is very, very intelligent, and that’s why sometimes you can use him also as a winger. He closes everything down, he works hard, and people don’t see it so often,” Addo remarked.
