Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo show with Nana Romeo, Kwaisey Pee highlighted that these artists often base their decisions on social media numbers.
According to Kwaisey Pee, the emphasis on social media metrics overlooks the fact that many of his fans are not active on such platforms.
He cited seasoned musicians like Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, and Amakye Dede, who, despite their immense popularity, do not boast high social media followings.

Contrasting this with younger artists like Kuami Eugene, Kwaisey Pee stressed the generational divide in internet usage.

He emphasized that rejecting a collaboration based solely on social media metrics, especially when dealing with icons like Daddy Lumba, is shortsighted and unreasonable.
Addressing misconceptions that he may harbor bitterness due to these rejections, Kwaisey Pee clarified that he is merely speaking the truth.
He lamented the tendency in Ghana to label truth-tellers as bitter, attributing it to a societal ailment where mental health issues are not adequately addressed.
Highlighting the essence of collaboration beyond social media metrics, Kwaisey Pee emphasized the importance of talent, experience, and longevity in the industry.
He concluded by reiterating that followership should not be the sole determinant of artistic collaboration, advocating for a more holistic approach to partnerships in the music industry.
