Livingstone Etse Satekla, better known as Stonebwoy, a renowned Afro-dancehall artist, has taken legal action against Sadiq Abdulai Abu, also known as Baba Sadiq, an aspiring politician and entertainment critic. The lawsuit is in response to defamatory remarks made on Baba Sadiq’s X page.

In addition, Stonebwoy is seeking GHS 3 million in damages for the harm done to his reputation. He alleges that Baba Sadiq intentionally published false statements with the aim of defaming him.

The legal action did not come as a shock to those who are aware of the situation. Social media users had previously expressed worry about Stonebwoy’s initial decision to disregard Sadiq’s comments, which implied that Stonebwoy is abusive towards women.

These remarks spread rapidly online, leading to intense debates among fans and the wider public. This was particularly notable given Stonebwoy’s well-known advocacy for women’s rights and his numerous charitable activities in support of women.

The writ serves as a confirmation of Stonebwoy’s dedication to safeguarding his hard-earned reputation, demonstrating his willingness to use the legal system to uphold his rights.
