Sista Afia Recalls Vivid Dream of Winning a GRAMMY Award

Ghanaian hiplife songstress Francisca Gawugah, performing under the stage name Sista Afia, expressed that she perseveres diligently because she aspired to achieve a GRAMMY Award.

During an interview Starr FM, she mentions that despite occasional feelings of wanting to give up due to her hard work not always being recognized, her dream sustains her motivation.

“I had a dream and I was receiving a GRAMMY Award. So that has spurred me on over the years. Even when I decide to give up, then I go back to what I saw in my dream and continue. I believe that with hard work the dream can be made reality,” she said.

Sista Afia, who has voiced frustration over Charter House’s apparent disregard for her efforts over the years, shared that whenever she feels disheartened, she turns to prayer and fasting for solace.
