Two Injured at Yendi Vote Transfer Centre Over NPP and NDC Dispute

Two individuals, including a media practitioner, were injured in Yendi following a skirmish at a voting transfer center involving supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The altercation reportedly began when a contingent of individuals, purportedly brought in from Tamale, arrived in the constituency to transfer their votes on Tuesday, June 4.

Tensions heightened when NDC representatives endeavored to confront these individuals.

One of those injured was a media expert who serves as a manager for Sakara Radio in Yendi.

He was at the center to oversee the proceedings when he suffered a laceration on his neck from a razor blade.
