The decision to adjourn the case came after lawyers representing one of the petitioners, Paul Boama-Sefa, were directed to submit their written arguments within a four-week period.

Furthermore, the court is awaiting a response from the Speaker of Parliament, who serves as the defendant in this case.

In a notable development, the Judiciary Service has granted permission for live media coverage of cases connected to the anti-LGBT+ bill.

This decision represents a significant step towards transparency, allowing the public to closely monitor these legal proceedings.

Previously, the Chief Justice had authorized media houses to livestream the hearing of Richard Sky’s injunction application against the passage of the anti-LGBTQ+ bill at the Supreme Court.

Now, with the Judiciary Service’s broader directive, all cases linked to the anti-LGBTQ+ bill will be open to media coverage.

Presently, there are four cases related to the anti-LGBTQ+ bill filed at various levels of the court system. Two of these cases are scheduled for hearing at the High Court, while the remaining two will be addressed at the Supreme Court.
