The charity match marked the launch of Williams Troost-Ekong’s charitable foundation, with numerous Nigerian celebrities attending to show their support for the Super Eagles captain.

The Nigerian national anthem was recently changed back to the version used during the first and second republics.
The anthem was changed in 1978 by former President Olusegun Obasanjo during his first term as a military ruler.
Numerous public figures at the game were seen having difficulty singing along when the anthem was played, making it one of the notable moments of the Troots-Ekong charity match.
One of the most amusing moments was how unbothered Sabinus appeared as the anthem was being played.
