Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, also the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has lauded the successful elimination of ghost workers from the government payroll, attributing this achievement to the integration of the Ghana Card into the country’s digital system.

In an audio clip shared by GHOne TV, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the pivotal role played by the Ghana Card in eradicating fraudulent practices within the government’s employment structure.
He expressed confidence in asserting that ghost names no longer appear on the government’s payroll, thanks to the implementation of the Ghana Card.
“So now, we can confidently say that because of the use of the Ghana Card, we don’t have ghost workers on government payroll anymore,” Dr. Bawumia affirmed.
