This comes after his fans made a significant loss by investing in his meme coin, $Davido, which experienced a huge increase in value shortly after its launch but crashed by over 90% within 24 hours.

Amidst the ongoing criticism, Davido released a letter from the Coalition of Orphanages and Children’s Homes in Nigeria (COCHIN) regarding his donation from February 2024.

The letter appreciates the singer while acknowledging that 42 out of the 52 orphanages under the coalition benefited from the funds. However, instead of generating a positive response, many critics accused Davido of using charity to cover up his crypto-fraud.
