Ansa-Asare’s criticism comes amid growing dissatisfaction with the size of the government, particularly with the recent appointments of ministers which have sparked controversy in Parliament.
Speaking in an interview on Citi TV, Ansa-Asare accused the President of disregarding the Constitution by appointing more ministers than necessary.
He argued that the Constitution clearly outlines the number of ministries and ministers required, and by exceeding these limits, the President is acting unlawfully.

Comparing Akufo-Addo’s administration to that of his predecessor, Ansa-Asare noted that while previous governments also exceeded ministerial limits, they did so without causing as much public outcry.
He emphasized that the problem lies with the President’s decisions rather than with the Constitution itself, stating that there is no need for constitutional amendments.
Ansa-Asare expressed his disappointment in President Akufo-Addo, remarking that his behavior has changed since assuming power, possibly influenced by the corrupting nature of authority.
In summary, Ansa-Asare’s critique highlights concerns over the size of the government and the President’s alleged disregard for constitutional limits on ministerial appointments.
He calls for a return to respect for the Constitution and expresses disappointment in the President’s perceived change in character.
