Comedian, Clemento Suarez is worried over substance abuse by Ghanaian creatives. He says his prayer is that they will stop especially smoking since it is destroying the lives of these young people.

Suarez made this known in a post he shared on social media. He said, “I wish above all things that the Ghanaian talent stopped smoking😭“.

In the creative space in Ghana, young creators are known to be chain smokers who cannot stay without their sticks. It is not clear why creatives are known for smoking and the abuse of alcohol in Ghana.
Joy FM’s Creative Addictions documentary brings to light the untold misery drug use and addiction have caused many people (including creatives) across the world. Some have died through dependency, others are still wallowing in the condition.
Ghanaian creatives Kiki Gyan, Timothy Bentum, OJ Blaq, Nasty, Lord Kenya, Okomfo Kwadee, Sugartone, and Red Eye of 2Toff fame, former Peace FM presenter Eric Noah King, Bak Tye, Jay Dee, and others have been in this situation.
