Two women have filed a lawsuit against NFL kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars, alleging sexual assault during a team flight to London last year.

The lawsuit, filed in Duval County Circuit Civil Court, identifies the women as Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II. They claim McManus rubbed and grinded against them during the flight and accuse the Jaguars of failing to supervise him and create a safe environment.
McManus’ attorney, Brett R. Gallaway, labeled the allegations as “fictitious and demonstrably false,” calling them part of an extortion attempt. The Jaguars acknowledged the lawsuit, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a team built on character and class.
The Commanders, McManus’ current team, stated they were investigating the matter and taking the allegations seriously.

According to the lawsuit, the incident occurred during a flight on September 28, 2023. The flight attendants allege McManus and other players disregarded personal space and safety protocols, with McManus allegedly recruiting flight attendants to join a party and passing out money to encourage inappropriate behavior.
Doe I accuses McManus of trying to kiss her during turbulence and grinding against her twice during meal services. Doe II alleges a similar incident during the second meal service, where McManus reportedly smirked and walked away when confronted.
The lawsuit claims severe mental anguish and distress for the women, who have been removed from the core crew that staffs Jaguars charter flights.
It alleges gross negligence by the Jaguars for failing to properly hire, train, and supervise McManus, as well as failing to enforce a zero-tolerance policy on inappropriate behavior.
McManus, who signed with the Jaguars in 2023, was not re-signed by the team this offseason and joined the Commanders. He denies the allegations, and both the Jaguars and Commanders are investigating the matter.
