Lucy Allan, born on October 2, 1964, in Cheltenham, grew up near Totnes, Devon.

Allan studied at Durham University and Kingston Law School, earning a degree in anthropology and a master’s in employment law.
In 1987, she joined Price Waterhouse as a trainee, where she qualified as a Chartered Accountant and later as a Chartered Secretary.
Allan specialized in business turnaround. Her political career began as a member of Wandsworth London Borough Council from 2006 to 2012.
Allan was elected as the Conservative MP for Telford in 2015, making history as the first Conservative and first female MP for the constituency.
She was re-elected in 2017 and 2019. During her time in Parliament, she served as the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Leader of the House of Commons, Jacob Rees-Mogg, from 2020 to 2022, and joined the Health and Social Care Select Committee in 2021.
Allan planned to step down at the 2024 general election, but just three days before the end of her term, she was suspended from the Conservative Party.
