A tragic accident occurred on the Accra-Apam Highway on Saturday, May 25, 2024, involving four occupants of a black Toyota Camry, with devastating consequences.

The driver of the car, fortunately, suffered the least injuries, while his front-seat passenger tragically succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident.
Among the passengers in the back seat were two renowned Ghanaian highlife musicians, K.K. Fosu and Bless, known for their hit song ‘Chocho Mu Cho’.
Nana Obiri Yeboah, the driver, recounted the events leading up to the collision during an interview on UTV’s United Showbiz show later that evening.
He explained that while en route to attend a wedding in the Central Region, an incident of reckless overtaking by a white Benz 350 compelled vehicles traveling in the Apam Junction direction to move onto the shoulders of the road to make way for the passing vehicle.
“We moved to the shoulder of the road like other cars to let the errant driver pass, but he ended up crashing into our car,” Nana Obiri Yeboah recounted. “I regained consciousness after the collision and learned that the three passengers had been taken to Apam Hospital.”

Nana Obiri Yeboah further disclosed that both K.K. Fosu and Bless suffered broken legs, with Bless’s injuries being more severe. Tragically, another passenger, an aide to Bless, lost their life at the scene of the accident.
A video shared online by UTV depicted the mangled front section of the vehicle they were traveling in, emphasizing the severity of the collision. Additionally, photos of the musicians in hospital beds showcased the extent of their injuries.
Nana Obiri Yeboah confirmed that all three injured individuals had been transported back to Accra via ambulance and admitted to the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC) for further medical attention.
Meanwhile, the driver of the errant Benz has reported to the Apam Police and is cooperating with ongoing investigations into the accident.
