Speaking on The Forum on AsaaseRadio on May 25, Marfo dismissed the claims as baseless and devoid of truth.

Marfo emphasized that assertions of a plot to remove Agyebeng lacked credibility and stressed that there was no substance to such allegations.

He stated, “Anybody saying that the Jubilee House or His Excellency the President is behind a move or an attempt to kick out my own brother, Kissi Agyebeng, that statement is false; there is no merit in it as a matter of fact, it is not true.”

Asserting his close relationship with Agyebeng, Marfo argued that had there been any validity to the claims, he would have been informed either by government sources or directly by Agyebeng himself.

Marfo further discredited the allegations made by Martin Kpebu, labeling them as malicious and lacking in credibility.

He concluded by urging the public to disregard such claims and emphasized the need to move forward.

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, recently forwarded a petition to the Chief Justice seeking the removal of Kissi Agyebeng as Special Prosecutor.

The petition, presented by former Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu, alleges various infractions including procurement irregularities and misconduct involving judges.

The Chief Justice is currently assessing the evidence to determine whether to constitute a committee for Agyebeng’s potential impeachment, as stipulated by Article 146 of the Constitution.
