However, there’s hope on the horizon. Shettima, speaking at the Vanguard Economic Discourse in Lagos, hinted at brighter days ahead.

Representing President Bola Tinubu, Shettima assured citizens that the days of heavy reliance on imported fuel are numbered.

Thanks to the government’s concerted efforts, led by President Tinubu, the tide is turning towards a more self-sufficient future. Shettima emphasized that new policies are in motion, poised to yield tangible results sooner rather than later.

The key remains a strategic focus on domestic production. Shettima outlined plans to bolster state-owned refineries and support private sector-led initiatives.

By tapping into local resources and enhancing refining capabilities, Nigeria aims to slash its hefty import bill, granting the national currency some much-needed respite.

Shettima’s message was one of optimism and reassurance. He stressed that the government’s agenda isn’t about adding burdens but about fostering sustainability and improving the quality of life for all Nigerians.

With determination and divine guidance, Shettima painted a promising picture of the years to come: a future marked by heightened standards of living, increased productivity, food security, abundant harvests, and overall progress.
