Tiwa Savage Praises Olamide, Calls Him a Genius Songwriter

Afrobeat singer Tiwa Savage recently shared her admiration for rapper Olamide, calling him a genius.

In an interview, Tiwa was asked to name an artist whose talent amazes her, and she chose Olamide, the head of YBNL. She revealed that Olamide wrote her hit song “49-99,” praising his ability to write for both singers and rappers.

Tiwa also mentioned that Olamide is one of the most talented artists she has collaborated with in the studio.

Olamide, who announced in March 2021 that he had completed another album, released “UY Scuti” on June 18, 2021. He explained that the album was inspired by his son.

In early February 2022, Olamide hinted that he might retire after releasing his 12th studio album.

Continuing his impressive career, Olamide released his 10th studio album, “Unruly,” on August 9, 2023. This album features collaborations with several African artists, including CKay, Asake, Bnxn, Rema, and Fireboy DML.
