He expressed that under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the government has displayed significant corruption.

He highlighted that the public’s trust in the government has diminished due to frequent reports of questionable transactions and conflicts of interest.

Kpebu pointed out that the perception of corruption is prevalent when the government engages in transactions involving ministers, as it raises suspicions of impropriety.

He emphasized that corruption has been allowed to thrive within the administration, leading to concerns about self-interest from the president to the ministers.

He stressed the need for transparency and accountability, especially in dealings like the sale of SSNIT’s shares, urging for documents to be made public for scrutiny.

His remarks followed a petition by NDC MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to CHRAJ to halt SSNIT’s sale of 60% of shares in four hotels to Rock City, a company involving a Minister of state and an MP.

Ablakwa alleged that negotiations for the sale were well advanced, raising concerns about potential conflicts of interest and the need for transparency in such transactions.
