Atiku, as reported by Leadership, emphasized that he and others will not stand by while Nigerians suffer and face oppression.

He stressed their commitment to the democratic system they fought to establish, vowing not to let things go wrong.

He began as the Governor of Adamawa State in 1998 before becoming Vice President under President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Atiku has sought the presidency multiple times. In 2007, he was the presidential candidate for the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) but lost to the late Umaru Musa Yar’adua of the PDP.
He ran again in 2019 and was defeated by former President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC. In 2023, he continued his pursuit as the PDP candidate but did not succeed.
Atiku’s commitment to politics remains unwavering, as he continues to strive for a better Nigeria through sustained democratic efforts.
