Hotel Footage of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Beating Ex Cassie in 2016 Released

Surveillance video obtained by CNN appears to show music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a 2016 hotel attack.

This incident was detailed in a recently settled lawsuit in which Cassie accused Combs of years of physical and sexual abuse.

The footage, recorded in March 2016, shows multiple angles of the incident. Cassie, whose real name is Casandra Ventura, alleged in a federal lawsuit filed in November 2023 that Combs had raped and physically abused her, including punching, beating, kicking, and stomping her over the course of their relationship. The lawsuit was settled a day after it was filed.

Representatives for Combs did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Friday, May 17 2024. Combs, 54, has previously denied the allegations, calling them sickening. Following the settlement, his attorney stated that the agreement was “in no way an admission of wrongdoing.”

In her lawsuit, Cassie claimed that Combs lured her into a relationship when she was a rising artist at his label and that the abuse lasted more than a decade. She accused him of controlling every aspect of her life.

Since Cassie’s lawsuit, Combs has faced additional allegations of sexual and physical abuse, gang rape, and other serious illegal activities. He is currently the subject of a federal criminal investigation, and agents searched his properties this spring. Combs has denied all the allegations and vowed to clear his name.

According to CNN, the hotel surveillance video shows Combs, wearing a towel with no shirt, approaching a woman near an elevator. He grabs her and throws her to the ground, then appears to kick her twice and drag her by her hooded sweatshirt.

The woman is later seen picking up a phone while Combs is out of view. When he reappears, he shoves the woman, who then moves out of the camera’s view. Combs is later seen sitting in a chair and throwing an object. The video has no audio.

Douglas Wigdor, Cassie’s attorney, commented on the video, saying, “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
