Nigerian artist Mayorkun has dropped a new track titled “Under The Canopy,” incorporating voice recordings from TikTok influencer Nicki DaBarbie, where she accused him of being involved in ritualistic practices.

This move follows Mayorkun’s assertion that he needed to address the situation due to people’s susceptibility to misinformation.
He clarified that he had never met Nicki in person and was unaware of the basis of her accusations, vowing to take legal action against her.
Sharing a video of himself in the studio recording, along with a snippet of the song, Mayorkun showcased his response to the allegations through his music.
He captioned his post: “At the end of the day, the day gotta end! ‘Under the canopy’ out at midnight! 馃馃従鉂わ笍”
