Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation Told to Stop Charity Work for Being ‘Delinquent’

Prince Harry and Meghan’s charity, Archewell Foundation, has been found delinquent in California due to unpaid fees.

This means that the foundation is currently prohibited from fundraising activities because the state has determined that Archewell has not paid its annual registration fees or submitted an annual report.

A source close to Archewell informed NBC News that the initial check for the fees was lost in the mail, but a new payment has been resubmitted. The source expressed confidence that the issue will be resolved within a few days.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a notice of delinquency to Archewell Foundation this month, indicating that the organization’s renewal information was incomplete.

State records show that the foundation’s last renewal was in May 2023 and has officially been marked as “delinquent,” which prevents the charity from raising funds.

Despite this administrative issue, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been in Nigeria, drawing attention to causes they have long supported, including wounded veterans.

The couple remains committed to their philanthropic work through Archewell Foundation, and the delinquency is expected to be swiftly rectified.
