Kwadwo Nkansah, widely known as Lil Win, a famous actor and producer in Kumawood, has decided to postpone his plan to run for a parliamentary seat in the upcoming elections scheduled for December.

He initially aimed for the Afigya Kwabre North constituency in the Ashanti region but cited financial challenges as the primary reason for his decision.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Lil Win disclosed that he lacks the substantial funds required for a successful campaign at the moment. He plans to defer his political aspirations until 2028.

Moreover, Lil Win clarified that he won’t affiliate with any political party, including the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as he has connections with both.
He stated, “I am no longer contesting… I will contest in the next four years… I am waiting for that. I am going independent. Likewise, I can’t join a political party because I love both parties and have friends everywhere.”
Lil Win had previously announced his intention to vie for the parliamentary seat in the Afigya Kwabre South constituency in August 2023.
However, this decision followed advice from former president John Dramani Mahama, who suggested that Lil Win refrain from entering politics.
