Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is facing a significant setback as Kylian Mbappe prepares to depart, with Real Madrid being his likely destination.

Despite the disappointment of losing Mbappe, PSG stands to save a substantial €200 million due to his departure. This saving will mainly come from unpaid signing bonuses and contract targets.
Reports indicate that PSG will save €80 million in loyalty bonuses for this season alone, a significant portion of the total amount saved. These bonuses surpass Mbappe’s annual wage of €72 million.

However, PSG still owes part of the €130 million signing bonus from Mbappe’s two-year deal signed in 2022.
While Mbappe’s speculated salary at Real Madrid is around €12 million per year, the exact impact of his signing bonus on his total earnings remains uncertain.
Furthermore, Mbappe could benefit from the “Mbappe law,” potentially saving around 20% in taxes if he opts to invest his earnings in Madrid.
If Mbappe’s salary at Real Madrid matches expectations, he could become the highest-paid player in the squad.
