Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé has made history by winning his fifth consecutive UNFP Ligue 1 Player of the Season award. The award ceremony took place on Monday night at Paris’ Pavillon d’Armenonville, honoring France’s top football talents for the recently concluded season.

Mbappé’s exceptional performance this season, scoring 27 goals, played a crucial role in PSG’s latest title victory.

Despite being the league’s top goal scorer, Mbappé is widely expected to join Real Madrid as a free agent this summer. The UNFP Awards also recognized other standout achievements in Ligue 1.

Stade Brestois’ impressive season was acknowledged with their manager Eric Roy being named Manager of the Year.

PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma received the Goalkeeper of the Year award, surpassing competition from Nice’s Marcin Bulka and Lille’s Lucas Chevalier.

Warren Zaïre-Emery, PSG’s young talent, was voted Young Player of the Year and is anticipated to be part of Didier Deschamps’ Euro 2024 squad for France.

In the Best French Player Abroad category, Atlético de Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann secured the award for the second time since 2016, outshining Arsenal’s William Saliba and Real Madrid’s Aurélien Tchouaméni.
