Bayern Munich is facing internal divisions as key players reportedly support Thomas Tuchel’s continued stay as head coach, despite rumors of a potential return for treble-winning former coach Hansi Flick.

Flick, who led Bayern to a Bundesliga, DFA-Pokal, and UEFA Champions League treble in 2019-2020, had been considered by Bayern’s hierarchy for a comeback.
However, reports from Germany suggest that several influential players, including Manuel Neuer, have expressed their desire for Tuchel to remain.

These players are said to have communicated their preference to the club’s board, seeking more time for the former Chelsea manager.
Last season, Tuchel guided Bayern to a dramatic last-day Bundesliga title win against Koln. However, Bayern is set to end the current season without any silverware, having been beaten to the Bundesliga title by Bayer Leverkusen.
They also suffered a heartbreaking loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League Semi-final last week.
Bayern’s final league match of the season is against Hoffenheim on Saturday, after which a final decision would be made about the manager’s future at the club.
