The report delves into the activities of Rushil and Nishani Singh, siblings who operated the Ghana Infrastructure Company (GIC) from 2017 to 2022.
According to the report, Nishani Singh allegedly facilitated payments to Haruna Iddrisu and others, totaling R47 million, between 2015 and 2020.
These payments were purportedly made directly from GIC’s account to various suppliers or to GIC’s director in Ghana, Asumah Dokurugu.
The report highlights that the funds provided to Haruna Iddrisu were not only financial but also included support for projects related to him.
Additionally, it mentions overseas trips financed by GIC, including visits to London, Indonesia, and South Africa.

While the report primarily focuses on Haruna Iddrisu’s involvement, it also briefly touches on the role of former MP Kwabena Owusu Aduomi.
Aduomi’s connection to the scandal is attributed to road subcontracts awarded to GIC during his tenure as deputy roads minister.
Although Aduomi was not directly involved in the contracts, his position facilitated the administration of bids, with many deals reportedly awarded on a sole source basis.
The report suggests that Haruna Iddrisu acted as a key intermediary in securing contracts for GIC, particularly in the Ashanti Region and Tamale, his constituency.
Haruna Iddrisu has yet to publicly respond to the allegations detailed in the News24 report.
