This is not the first time Nasboi has expressed disappointment with an awards ceremony; last year, he criticized the Headies awards for not nominating him in the Online Social Content Creator category, believing he was more deserving than the nominated skit makers.
This year, Nasboi decided to take a humorous approach by awarding himself an AMVCA for Best Music Promoter. He shared a photo of himself holding the award, accompanied by a tongue-in-cheek message: “Best Music Promoter 👑 AMVCA. Thank you for introducing this new category.”
