Family Announces Funeral Date for Gospel Icon KODA: July 5 at Dominion Centre

The family of the late gospel music icon Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA, has revealed details about his final funeral rites.

In a statement released on May 10, the family announced that the funeral will take place on Friday, July 5, 2024.

The venue for the funeral has been designated as the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) or the Dominion Centre, situated on the Spintex Road in Accra.

According to a report by Daily Graphic online, several gospel artistes, including Pastor Joe Beecham and Uncle Ato, were present at the one-week observation ceremony held on Friday.

KODA, known for his contributions as both a singer and a producer, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. His impact on the gospel music scene is widely acknowledged, with notable songs such as ‘Nsempii,’ ‘Nkwa Abodoo,’ ‘Yapai,’ and ‘Adorso’.
