Actor Marlon Wayans Gives Real Reason Why He Never Got Married

Marlon Wayans, the 51-year-old American actor, recently opened up about why he never tied the knot.

He revealed that his late mother, Elvira Wayans, played a significant role in this decision.

Marlon expressed deep devotion to his mother, making her the top priority in his life until she passed away in 2020 at the age of 81.

In an interview with The New York Times, Marlon shared that his mother’s passing deeply affected him, stating that she was “my girl.”

He confessed that he opted out of marriage to ensure his mother never felt sidelined by another woman.

Marlon emphasized the importance of his mother’s happiness, revealing that he made a heartfelt promise to her on her deathbed, declaring that he never married because she was always meant to be his number one.

Marlon, known for his roles in “In Living Color” and “The Wayans Bros.,” has two sons with his former partner Angelica Zackery.

He recently confirmed the arrival of his one-year-old daughter. Marlon comes from a large family of entertainers, with his parents, Elvira and Howell, raising ten children.

Howell Wayans passed away last year at the age of 86. Marlon fondly remembered his mother on what would have been her 82nd birthday, expressing eternal love and longing.
