Nyarku alleges that Ewusi, accompanied by unidentified individuals, incited chaos at a registration center during the ongoing limited voter registration exercise.

According to Nyarku, Ewusi arrived at the center with a bus filled with thugs who proceeded to assault individuals present, including the MP and his bodyguard.

Describing the incident, Nyarku stated, “I was told there was a fracas happening at one of the registration centers, so I decided to go and find out and make sure that things would be calmed only to come and meet the NPP parliamentary candidate and his entourage making fracas all over the place.” He further claimed that Ewusi’s group attacked him and his bodyguard with a cutlass and threatened to burn down Cape Coast.

Expressing concern over the sluggish registration process, Nyarku highlighted that six registration devices had malfunctioned, contributing to delays.

He cited low registration numbers, with only 43 people registered on the first day and 13 on the second day, attributing the issue to the breakdown of devices.

Nyarku indicated that authorities had been notified, and they were awaiting further instructions from headquarters in Accra.
