NAFDAC officers, with help from the Nigerian Army’s 15 Field Engineering Regiment, have put a stop to the illegal drink production by Mr. Chinedu Okafor at his home on MTN Road in Badagry.

The army noticed Okafor’s unusual activities and arrested him. They then handed him over to NAFDAC at the Seme Border. The officers removed all the tools and ingredients he used to make the fake drinks, closing down his operation.
The investigation showed that Okafor had been making these illegal drinks for a long time, which might have affected the quality of legal alcohol drinks in Badagry.
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has said that Okafor will be taken to court, and the fake drinks, worth more than ₦50,000,000, will be destroyed.

NAFDAC emphasized the importance of public vigilance and urged citizens to report suspicious activities to safeguard public health. Mr. Okafor will face prosecution, and all offending products will be destroyed.
This decisive action by NAFDAC helps protect consumers from potentially harmful illicit drinks and ensures the integrity of regulated alcohol products in the Badagry area.
