His warning coincided with a generous donation of GHS 5,000.00 towards the establishment of a Dialysis Center at the Upper East Regional Hospital. This initiative aims to alleviate the burden of kidney disease management in the region.

Emmanuel Akatibo, a Physician Assistant and advocate for the Dialysis Center initiative, expressed gratitude for Dr. Apaak’s contribution, emphasizing its significance in advancing the establishment of the center.

In addition to expressing gratitude, Akatibo pledged to spearhead advocacy efforts aimed at educating the public about the importance of kidney health awareness and proactive measures.

Dr. Apaak’s warning comes amidst global concerns regarding the potential health risks associated with the consumption of energy drinks, which often contain high levels of caffeine and sugar.

Health experts have linked overconsumption of energy drinks to various health issues, including increased blood pressure and heart problems.
