Salam Mustapha, the National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has swiftly reacted to John Mahama’s pledge to reopen investigations into corruption allegations against Cecilia Dapaah, the former Minister of Sanitation.

Mustapha suggests that if John Mahama returns to the presidency, he should not only reopen the case involving Cecilia Dapaah but also the broader investigation into the purchase of Airbus aircraft, known as the Airbus Scandal, in which Mahama is allegedly implicated.
John Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), made the promise to investigate the Cecilia Dapaah case if the NDC wins the 2024 General elections, in response to the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Dame’s statement that there was no basis to investigate Dapaah and her husband over corruption allegations.

In light of this, Salam Mustapha reminded Mahama of the Airbus Scandal and urged him to consider reopening that investigation alongside the Cecilia Dapaah case, should he return to office.

See his post below:
“Dear John Mahama,
“In the event of your most unlikely return to office, kindly reopen an investigation into the scandalous and nefarious Airbus GO1 scandal, which you are directly accused of alongside Madam Cecilia Dapaah. In that case, we will hold your feet to the fire, sir. No room for cheap politics!” Salam Mustapha wrote.
