This decision, which occurred amidst rumours about his marriage to actress Fella Makafui, sparked debate among fans.

During an appearance on the May 4, 2024, episode of the United Showbiz show hosted by MzGee, Medikal addressed the controversy, explaining that his intention was to provide fans with a live rendition of a popular track they had collaborated on.

“I wanted people to feel a live performance of what they watch on my Snapchat and in my music videos,” Medikal clarified, emphasizing that his aim was to enhance the concert experience for fans.

He further stressed that his actions were not meant to prove a point or disrespect his wife but rather to give fans a memorable experience at the event.

However, despite his explanation, some critics have viewed his decision as inappropriate, especially considering the ongoing rumours about his marriage.

In response to speculation about his marital status, Medikal urged the public to focus on the success of the concert rather than delving into his personal life. He reminded viewers that relationships ending is not uncommon and should not overshadow other achievements.
