Although Haaland was denied by a superb save from Jose Sa shortly after, Manchester City maintained control, weaving passes around the pitch.

Wolves did attempt a comeback, but City’s Nathan Aké and goalkeeper Ederson were on hand to thwart any scoring opportunities.

Haaland found the net again in the 35th minute with a header from Rodri’s cross and sealed his hat-trick with another penalty just before the half-time whistle, marking his ninth since joining the English league.

In the second half, Wolves’ substitute Jean-Ricner Bellegarde made an immediate impact, assisting Hwang Hee-chan’s goal. However, Manchester City quickly regained their stride as Haaland added his fourth goal to the tally.

Later, Julián Álvarez came on for Haaland and also found the back of the net, helping Manchester City set a new record of 43 unbeaten home matches in all competitions.
