On The Afternoon Show last Thursday, the multi-talented entrepreneur revealed that she turned down the role of Serwaa after her audition, despite the offer from director Ivan Quashigah.

Fella had her heart set on playing Emily, Cyril’s girlfriend in the series, and was not interested in the role of Serwaa. She explained that her past experience selling bread for her mother made her reluctant to play a similar character on screen.

She admitted to the host that she was so confident in her abilities that she didn’t realize the importance of embracing different roles as an actor.

In her own words;

“I actually declined taking the role Serwaa, I told him [Ivan Quashigah] that I won’t do YOLO. Even with the auditions, I told him I won’t do it because I believed so much in myself that back then I did not know that as an actor, I have to go through that process.

“When we were doing the auditions, I was catching one role – I wanted to play the role of Emily but I was told to act as Serwaa and I didn’t want because I was selling bread for my mother even before coming to Accra, so why would I be doing the same in movie,” she said on TV3’s The Afternoon Show.

Currently, Fella is busy promoting her first movie, ‘Resonance,’ which is set to premiere on May 11 at the Accra Mall and Silverbird Cinemas.
