Despite a potential return for Real Madrid before the season ends, Courtois needed another knee operation in March after facing a setback.

Although there is a possibility of him rejoining Real Madrid before the campaign concludes, Belgium coach Domenico Tedesco has confirmed that Courtois will not be part of the Euro 2024 squad.

Courtois, who has 102 caps for Belgium, had already indicated in December that he would not be fully recovered in time for the tournament scheduled in Germany this June and July.

Tedesco emphasized that the focus is on selecting players who are in good physical condition for the tournament. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti expressed his hope to have Courtois back in action for Saturday’s La Liga match against Cadiz.
